![]() With respect to swimming procedures, every camper participates in a swimming evaluation prior to having “free swim” in our lake. In addition to this annual inspection, our waterfronts are sampled by a third-party vendor weekly during the “swimming season” to ensure that the water itself is safe for swimming. ![]() It should also be noted that our waterfronts are inspected annually by the Burlington County Department of Health to ensure that the waterfronts have sufficient first aid and lifeguarding supplies, that the equipment is in good working order, and that the waterfront is otherwise in good shape. Further, the organization maintains an Aquatics Facility Plan which is compliant with American Red Cross waterfront standards for guarding and ratios. Each waterfront is staffed by American Red Cross certified lifeguards who have completed the Waterfront Module certification. Parents Time Out registrations can be canceled up to 24-hours in advance of the session time to receive a refund, otherwise discount code usage and payment are forfeited.YMCA of the Pines has been awarded Praesidium Accreditation® by Praesidium, the leader in abuse risk management. Discount codes should be used for the month and year of the session you're registering for, for example MMMYYYY (all months are the first three letters) and year of the session. Parents Time Out is available for members of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads only and is $10 per session per child. Parents Time Out parents must be responsive within 30-minutes of the Y should an emergency arise. Sessions provide age-appropriate games, crafts, movies, and play. Parents Time Out is 3-hour drop-in care for children 6 wks to 2 years old.
